Your first invoice — step by step

Creating your first invoice in Finova takes under 2 minutes. Here's exactly how to do it.

From your dashboard, click Sales → New Invoice or press the + button in the top bar.

Select or create a customer. Type their name and Finova will search your existing customers. If new, click 'Add Customer'.

Set the invoice date and due date.

Add line items — product or service name, quantity, unit price, and tax rate.

Add any notes or payment terms at the bottom (e.g., 'Payment due within 30 days').

Click Save & Preview to see how it looks, then Send Invoice to email it directly to your customer.

💡

Tip: You can save invoices as drafts and come back to them later. They won't post to your ledger until you mark them as sent.
